Marking the completion of four years as Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami reflected on his journey, saying that despite many challenges, each one became an opportunity with the “grace of God” and guidance from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking at the ‘Northern Region Ministers Conference on Civil Aviation’ held in Dehradun, CM Dhami said, “Exactly four years ago today, my party entrusted me with the responsibility of leading the state. In these years, we faced many challenges, and every time, by God’s grace, they turned into opportunities.”
The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to the principle of “sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas, sabka prayaas” and stated that his administration has consistently worked to elevate Uttarakhand’s self-respect and development.
“By imbibing the basic mantra of inclusive growth and collective effort, we have tried to take Uttarakhand’s dignity to new heights,” he said.
CM Dhami also praised Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, who attended the event, and credited him with providing “visionary leadership” that has helped the aviation sector reach new heights. Dhami expressed gratitude to both Prime Minister Modi and Minister Naidu for choosing Uttarakhand to host the regional aviation conference, calling it a moment of celebration for the state.
Referring to recent helicopter accidents during the Char Dham Yatra, the Chief Minister assured that enhanced safety measures will be put in place. He said helicopter services will resume in September under a more secure Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) framework.
“Passenger safety remains our top priority. Helicopter services will operate strictly as per guidelines, and I urge all operators to ensure their pilots receive special training to fly in the mountainous terrains of Uttarakhand,” CM Dhami added.
